Thunder and Lightning

Dramatically Improve Your Speed, Quickness, Agility, Strength, and Power
 
A summer strength and conditioning program to help prepare you for your winter sport, complement current training, or keep you active over the summer. Thunder is for Strength as Lightning is for Speed.
Most sports are a continuously shifting blend of jumping, landing, starting, stopping, cutting, pushing, pulling, hearing, seeing, feeling, and reacting.
And such… your strength training should incorporate these skills in a systemized manner. 
The YouthFit 'Thunder & Lightning' Camps are structured to cater to athletes that want a basic understanding of strength and speed mechanics, to those athletes who wish to have an annual plan designed specifically for them.
Program Structure-
·     Assessment. - Functional movement, age, pace of individual development, demands of the sport's discipline, level of fitness, posture, strengths and weaknesses.
·     Orientation. -The orientation process will allow athlete understanding of how/why exercises are performed.
·     Program Design. -Provides an educational training atmosphere that is Fun, Safe, increases resistance to injury. Develops the athletes function and versatility through proper movement and provides the tools for overall physical development. Incorporates variety for optimum adaptation.
·     Implementation. -Focus is on “Movement Strength” which means training multi-directional multi joint exercises so that the athlete can have maximum training effect. Exercises and Drills are organised into a plan for those who choose this additional option.
·     Evaluation. -Collect data so that an individual's program can be modified and grows with the athlete to optimize effectivness.

There are Thunder and Lightning camps for Rugby, Soccer, Netball, Basketball, Hockey, Track and Field, Multi-Sport.
